"Technological innovation relies on talent, and talent cultivation depends on education. However, we still face issues such as weak '0 to 1' original innovation capabilities and the integration of basic research with applied research," said Ni Mingxuan, Founding President of The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (GZ).

On May 20, the "2025 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Forum" is held in Guangzhou. During the forum, Ni Mingxuan states that the Greater Bay Area attaches great importance to technology. For the development of the entire country, technological innovation is core, and cultivating talent is also a key focus of The establishment of HKUST(GZ).
